Tech Thursdays: Windows 10 Basics + Intermediate

No need to get left behind in the digital world! Join us at the Sycamore Library for free classes on current tech topics, software programs, mobile devices, and more!

9:30 am BASICS: In this class you will learn how to navigate the Windows 10 interface, locate and manage your files, and customize your preferences.

6:00 pm INTERMEDIATE: In this class you will learn how to create shortcuts, adjust settings, uninstall programs, utilize Task Manager and Windows defender, and explore the Windows store.

No experience necessary. Register by phone or in person at the Customer Relations Desk.

Sustainable Sycamore

Join in for a series of lectures on environmental topics presented by local group C.A.S.E.S. (Citizen Advocates for a Sustainable Environment) at the Sycamore Community Center.

Jun 26– Art and the Environment
Our June program will explore how artists work on environmental issues, how environmental concerns can be integrated into artistic practice, and things you can do to become an eco-artist.

Jul 31– Composting
In July we will look at what we can compost, how to compost, and the advantages of this nature-friendly method for disposing of biodegradable waste.

Aug 28– Water: Why worry about it?
In August we will talk about the sustainability of our water sources, learn about water conservation, and explore various methods for conserving this precious resource.

All ages welcome, no registration required.
