Micah Kurtzman, a Boy Scout out of troop 16 in Sycamore is having a Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction to raise funds for his Eagle Scout Project.
His project will be building 3 large storage shelves for Littlejohn Elementary in DeKalb. The estimated cost for the project is around $1,100.
The fundraiser is on Friday, February 22nd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Sycamore United Methodist Church (160 Johnson Ave., Sycamore, IL).
The dinner is free with donation and the silent auction will also be helping a variety of small, locally owned businesses in the community.
Some of the items in the silent auction include books, games, home decor items, hats, and gift certificates from local eateries and entertainment vendors.
Join us for the 7th Annual Bowling Fundraiser for HorsePower Therapeutic Riding! On February 23rd the doors open at 11:00 a.m. and bowling sign-in begins at 11:30 a.m. You can choose to bowl between two time slots: noon – 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Student trophy ceremony is at 2 p.m., in-between sessions.
4-5 bowlers per lane is ideal, but the front desk will assign you to a lane (and some new friends) if you have less than that. Throughout the event there will be Cupcake Sales, Silent Auctions, Bucket Raffle, Wine Grab Table, Face Painting Table and 50/50 Raffle Sales.
Please note this is a registration event; therefore, we welcome you to attend even if you don’t choose to bowl, but to do so you will need to purchase a “Non-Bowler” ticket.
Cost: Adult Bowler – $30, Children under 10 – $20, Non-bowler – $20

Come out February 23rd and support your local Fire Dept while enjoying chili, salad, desserts with your community.
The fun starts at 4 p.m. at the local Genoa Vets Home located at 311 S Washington St., Genoa.
You can buy your tickets now from any Fire Dept member or at the door. The tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children and 65+. 3 and under eat free.
We will also have hot dogs for the children who do not like chili which is included in their ticket. We provide water, milk and coffee included in ticket price. This is all you can eat so come hungry! The chili is made mild so if you like it spicy bring some hot sauce 🙂

We will have a Royal Salon, face painting, crafts, games, finger foods, DANCING, Balloon animals, and a cozy story corner. Join us for an enchanting night filled with family and royal FUN.

Our annual Dinner/Auction is scheduled for April 27!!! This year’s event will be at the Hinckley Fire House and we are bringing back the silent auction! We will also have entertainment by The Wooden Rockers!
The Silent Auction starts at 5:30, dinner at 6:00, Live Auction at 7:00 and the Wooden Rockers will entertain until 11:00 p.m.
Tickets are $30 each. This will cover dinner, the auction, and entertainment. The fire house staff will have a bar open.
