Hinckley Senior Adults Game Day

A group of senior adults meets on the first and third Thursdays of every month to play cards, dominoes, or any game you bring. Join us upstairs in the Hinckley Community Building (100 N Maple Street). No registration required.

Books and Barks

Wednesday evenings • 6:00pm. Books and Barks is a unique program that provides children with an opportunity to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to a Canine Good Citizen. The goal of Books and Barks is to create a positive, non-threatening, and fun environment for independent reading.

Space is limited, registration required.

Sandwich Tractor Parade

The Sandwich Early Day Engine Club will be hosting a tractor parade through town on Friday night prior to the 48th annual show on Saturday.

Leaving from the Sandwich Fairgrounds around 6:30.

We would love to have you join us on your tractor or just come out and watch.

The Sandwich Early Day Engine Club will be hosting a 25 mile tractor ride on Sunday after our 48th Annual Show (Saturday).
All are welcome to bring a tractor and participate.

Living Well with Pain Support Group

Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists and Braden Counseling Center, P.C. have partnered together to create a chronic pain support group in the DeKalb/Sycamore area. Living Well With Pain Support Group will meet on the first and third Mondays of each month from 5:00 – 6:00 pm at Braden Counseling Center, 2600 DeKalb Avenue, Suite J, in Sycamore (in the building with H&R Block across from Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital).

This free support group led by Masters Level Therapist Nicole Bowker and Board Certified Physical Therapist Kristin Christian is designed for anyone seeking support with any type of chronic illness or pain. Attend for the opportunity to learn from others, share your experiences (or just listen to other’s experiences), and learn new coping strategies in an informal setting.

The group meets every first and third Monday of each month. Everyone is welcome at this open forum support group and there is no charge to attend.
