Her performance will be set to music by Icon For Hire, Chvrches, and Bad Wolves, in a set hand-picked by Daniel Sherrill, who explains, “Melissa made a stunning debut in our previous event, and has shown during the writing of this one that she will be an ongoing creative presence within our upcoming performances.”

Wooden Box Theater event co-writers, Zephirine Moon Garden and Ruth Keran will perform separate sets of event inspired belly dances during the presentation. The fashions segments of the evening will be brought to life by area models including Alicia Crosby, Meghon Heart, Breona Austin, Jessica McGrail, Darla Decker, Haley Puffienbarger, Tracy Mihaljevic, Jeanette Marie Dulzo, Mal Vina, Beverly Ensign, Abigail Smith, and Mandi Jacklin.

“Arrive at Destination : Charlies Angels Nite,” in music, performance, layout, and structure will tell the story of the addition of newest Wooden Box Theater collaborators, Megan Frey and Anthony Majic, to the group. The pair will star in the event’s theatrical segments, and will also host a Country Line Dance demonstration segment during the event for audience members with an interest in dance. Event writer Daniel Sherrill explains, “These two come to us from the world of Country Line Dance and many years of experience in it, and will bring that perspective and gift of performance to our group, they have both been a joy to collaborate with on this event.”

The event was written and conceived by Daniel Sherrill, Ruth Keran and Megan Frey, along with Zephirine Moon Garden. Lead writer Daniel Sherrill explains, “For an event as complex as our newest ‘Charlie’s Angels’ themed presentation, it was essential to add two extra writers, as we are blending elements of theater, fashion, and music in one of the most photogenic venues in the area. We have set out to create a memorable event for the audience and to pay tribute to the previous three ‘Charlie’s Angels’ events we’ve done previously.”

Wooden Box Theater, as a performance and event writing team, began on stage during an edition of Open Mic at the House Cafe in the summer of 2006, and continues to evolve into an event directing team which has toured area venues in Sycamore/DeKalb and Kane County since. Their events typically feature a running story-line, along with exclusive live musical performances, and guest hosts, and theatrical segments.

Wooden Box Theater appearing in ‘Charlie’s Angels Nite’ will be held Sunday August 19th at 6pm at the Holmes Student Center Skyroom located at 340 Carroll Ave in DeKalb, IL. Admission is $5 at the door and open to the public. For more information visit:
