About this event:
Wednesday, February 28, 2018 – Sunday, March 4, 2018
Middletown is a town filled with the people you see every day. This funny and deeply moving play features seemingly-regular people who have seemingly-regular things going on in their lives. Upon closer inspection, however, the fascinating thing about the inhabitants of Middletown is the depth they share. Living in a town named simply for being between two places, they most often like to speculate as to what should happen while they’re between two other places: birth and death.
At the center of the play is the budding friendship between two Middletown residents, Mrs. Swanson, a newcomer who is trying to start a family, and John Dodge, an exceedingly anxious everyman. Each conversation between the two puts a spotlight on the heaviness of living and the strange beauty we find in between the bookends. Order tickets here.
