About this event:
Martin Luther King Day is a federal holiday held on the third Monday of January. It celebrates the life and achievements of Martin Luther King Jr., an influential American civil rights leader. He is most well-known for his campaigns to end racial segregation on public transport and for racial equality in the United States.
There is no school on the 15th, so celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at the DeKalb Public Library! NIU’s Center for Black Studies is teaming up with the DeKalb Public Library to provide a variety of craft activities. Children and their caregivers are encouraged to drop in at any time to visit each activity station, using their creativity to make each craft unique! No registration is required to attend this FREE program. For additional information, please contact Theresa at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 3350
