Started in 1888, the Sandwich Fair (DeKalb County Fair) is the oldest continuous county fair in Illinois. Although the beautiful Sandwich Fairgrounds of approximately 182 acres is used for other events during the spring, summer, and autumn, the main event continues to be the Sandwich Fair in DeKalb County, attracting approximately 175,000 attendees over the course of the five days of the fair. Remaining to the original mission of the fair, the Sandwich Fair continues to provide agriculture exhibits and competition along with commercial exhibits, food, entertainment, carnival rides, and games for education and fun for all ages.
The Sandwich Fairgrounds address during the fair is 15730 Pratt Road. Please use the Pratt Road entrance to enter the fair parking lot to keep traffic moving and reduce congestion in Sandwich and Rte 34, especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the Fair.
Tickets are available at the entrance gate after parking. Parking is included with admission. Adult $10, Child 6-12 $6, 5 and under is free. Please take advantage of the promotional day to get in at discounted rates during the fair.
Children Free Day- Wednesday, September 4- Children 12 and under are free
Senior Day-Thursday, September 5- Fair goers 55 and over get in for $6 before 5pm
Bargain Day- Friday, September 6- Everyone admitted for $6 before 5pm
Sunday, September 8- After 3pm everyone admitted for $6
