Native American Field Finds of DeKalb County

November 13 @ 7:00 pm

Free
November 13 – 7pm

Terry Martin will share his collection of Native American artifacts from DeKalb County.

Martin, a board member of the DeKalb County Historical-Genealogical Society, has scoured the fields of DeKalb County for more than 50 years looking for Native American artifacts. He has amassed an impressive collection of artifacts from the Paleo, Archaic, Woodland, and Mississippian periods of time spanning more than 10,000 years. Martin will display samples from his collection and discuss how some of the artifacts were used and constructed.

The presentation is free and open to the public, and will be held at the Oak Crest Retirement Center Little Theater, 2944 Greenwood Acres Dr., DeKalb, following a short business meeting of the DeKalb County Historical-Genealogical Society.

The DeKalb County Historical-Genealogical Society sponsors seven programs a year to promote the history and genealogy of DeKalb County. Membership of $25 a year includes a subscription to the DCHGS local history magazine Cornsilk and special programs.
